The Princess who was kidnapped' A WAC Pantomime'The Princess who was kidnapped' is based on an old indigenous Fijian tale, of a feisty princess, her loyal friend Belo (the heorn) and her community as they outplay and outwit the wicked Lady Samuna. The play shows how important women are to community decisionmaking, plays with gender roles, discusses partner choice and healthy relationships, and is also just a crazy, colourful play for school and communities full of local humour and fun. There will be free school matinees and evening shows in Suva and Lautoka, and a special community show on Saturday 21 November 2009.
